Sisters Hand in Hand is a non-profit organisation founded by Korann Halvorsen in 2014. Our mission is to support women to become self sufficient through business and education.
This implies to instilling confidence and motivation within them, assisting with work experience, volunteering positions and assist them in learning new skills. This is achieved through the ever generous small businesses in the community that we have built through professional relationships.
This in return will provide opportunities to women to get back to work force or upscale themselves by joining various study programs or start their own business.
Education enables women to take greater control of life and gain inclusion in decision making processes, which opens up her potential to contribute socially and economically to her family and the community.
We are building a village that supports women in all aspects of their lives.

Korann has always been passionate about women and children and has worked with families and individuals within multiple communities to build relationships and a strong understanding of personal rights and freedom of choice.
As a mother and wife herself, she feels strongly about all women having the right to feel safe and secure, to build a family unit in a positive environment and to be able to further themselves be it in education or socialisation.
With four younger children of her own, she pursues the dream, that all children will be educated and happy in a safe environment. As children are the most vulnerable in our society we need to be their protectors and educators.
Her name resonates inspiration/special message. She thrives in inspiring others to help themselves for the betterment of their present and future. Her passion is to help women and children who are the building blocks of a developed society. With a degree in architecture, she dreams to build a safer society together with the help of the community for the most vulnerable.
